I realize this is just silly... and there are practical objections to it.
Say you're a team that needs a QB. Badly. You could trade away a bunch of picks like the Rams did to pick one guy at the top of the draft.
And hope you got that right.
Or...how about just spending every pick in the draft on the next QB available. Scoop up a whole handful of them, sort'em out to the best 2 or 3 in minicamp in the spring. Then go on from there in fall camp to find your starter.
That way a Dak Prescott (or Russell Wilson) doesn't slip through your fingers. You don't have to be smart enough to recognize that he is actually the best QB in the draft. You just get him because he was available and you're picking nothing but QB's.
