On Mason and Ireland yesterday, Ireland reported yesterday that he spoke to someone inside the Rams organization and was told that the Rams realize they made a mistake giving up all those picks for Goff, but still think there's a chance he can be good.
I'll post the podcast soon.
I call BS.
let me guess "anonymous source"
that is so stupid on so many levels.
even if the upper management (Stan, Sean, Snead, Demoff) actually thought that, they would NEVER utter that to anybody outside that circle.
its the media feeding more bullish*t to the masses.
Even worse possibility is that the Rams do think that and are willing to say so in a way that gets repeated in public.
THAT would be Jay Zygmunt Rams level bad.
You;re entering a season with a 2nd year qb learning a new system and you undermine him through the media?
Yeah that;s Jay Zygmunt territory type bad management.
On top of it, it would put an inside rift out in the public, since saying that the Rams regret the trade is the same as saying they question Snead.
We don't know what reporters think they hear or what loose screw in an organization would say what to a local radio guy.
But this isn't just about Goff, it's about McVay's regime and whether they know enough to not complain about organization decisions to a local reporter while at the same time developing a young qb for his second season.
I like to think he;s smarter than that.
