The comment about one good throw, two bad was a response to a question about Mannion. The host said that McVay had good things to say about Mannion in the off season, so how is he looking.
I agree that without a deep threat or playmaker, the team will have to have 8-10 play drives to score. However, watching one day of camp (Friday), it looks like McVay wants Goff to open it up more than Fisher did. When 11 on 11s started. Goffs first pass was a four or five yard pass. McVay came over and talked to Goff and his hand motion implied that he was saying try to hit a deeper target. The rams tried to stretch the field horizontally last year, this year it seems it will be a bit more vertically (at least into the mid range 10-15 yard zone).
