First you have know idea what the Rams have on the roster to play the position and you have a lot more flexibility without being saddled with a $16M cap hit for a player you're not even sure about.

I just heard players on ESPN saying the exact same thing, it was stupid, now they would have invested serious money in him just to see him walk.
