1. making he has a pro bowl season. while perhaps still overpaid, most people wont care if he produces on the field.
2. he hasnt left yet..perhasp he signs a long term deal after the season.
3. can you "lose" a player you dont really want? its not entirely clear how wade and the rams feel about true. they clearly prefer him over other options that wer available this year but may not be willing to pay him the money he wants. playing in wades scheme for a year will likely push that opinion in one direction or the other.
finally. you indicated that the rams should see if he can rebound then give him an extension. why do you propose they do that without franchising him?
