I am asking, I don't know. I am sure he is in on the decision-making process but I was thinking Fisher and Demoff were/are too.
As far as the drafts go... I think its really hard to tell. I don't know who was responsible for Robinson or who was responsible for Donald... But when your OC accepts a TE job, or not offered a job or takes a college OC job, I am guessing the coaching might not be the best.
The one ray of hope I am hanging on is the Fisher was basically incompetent AND the QB play was never good enough to win games. I don't remember a lot of busts on the defensive side of the ball as far as draft picks go. I know some are down on the Joyner pick. Fisher, according to Snead himself, placed a higher draft value on RB's... so I'm not sure if Snead would have drafted Pead or Mason.
With McVay at the helm the Rams seemed to draft and bring in FA's that have solid reps as smart and clean players. So perhaps that falls too far on the Spags "4 pillars" side for some. IMO we will only start to get a glimpse of reality once the season starts.... or perhaps well into the season.
I am not a Snead fan, in that I don't like his personality. But I don't think I am letting that cloud my judgement (whatever that is worth) of him. And I really mostly see his job as the draft guy. It could be that Fisher controlled a lot and Snead was basically his errand boy. IDK Maybe with McVay leading the way Snead will have more say in the decision-making.
Personally I am getting some jujubes and a coke and just looking forward to something different.
