It would be a major stretch to see all four step up. If two of four did they'd get a big boost. I think Higbee is most likely. I think he'll benefit from the new scheme and coaching quite a bit. In my opinion he could go from 11 catches to 50+.
I can see Cooper going from 14 to something like 32 catches. Not sure if that's considered "stepping up."
Spruce is just a big unknown because he's played one preseason game. He's gravy if he develops into anything.
I have the least faith in Thomas. That dropped deep ball @SEA and the KOR debaucle to open the Atlanta game soured me on him.
Unlike Casserly, who I just read about, I count as hits special teamers, nickel backs, 3rd receivers, and the like--significant contributors
Looking at the Rams record in rounds 4-6 from 2012-2015. To be fair this is a generous take. I am counting Donnal and Wichman as hits though that could change. So this is provisional. But in that span they had 12 picks in those rounds and hit on Zuerlein, Stacy, Gaines (so far), Alexander, Donnal, and Wichmann. That's 50%.
If those numbers hold then from last year, it is by no means crazy to assume they could hit on 2 or 3. One is statistically a given. Two is certainly possible. 3 stretches it but it's actually at least possible.
