I posted a few days ago that the Rams are going to go TE, WR, at 37. Could still happen of course.
But looking at what some of the better draft gurus are saying about certain players, I think the Rams are simply going to sit at 37 and wait for a 1st round talent to be pushed down to them. In other words, they'll look to their draft board at 37, and outside of QB and maybe RB, they take the top player sitting there on their board provided he's clearly a step above a need player.
So we could see a potential star player fall us to like TJ Watt as an OLB. Or perhaps a Guard who could play Center like Dan Feeney. Possibly even a Christian McCaffrey (he could be used in so many ways it is unbelievable.....talk about a guy who can be a matchup nightmare.....kind of our Julian Edelman). In other words, not positions of real need, but the available player is so good that the value is just too high to bypass. Even if they keep TruJ (which I think is a slam dunk) they could take a CB or FS there perhaps like Humphrey or one of Adams or Hooker because they are so close in value that while one is bound to go, the other might slide.
Bottom line: it is virtually unpredictable at 37 especially, because there is so much talent coming out this year that it is hard to know what the teams ahead of the Rams will do. I suspect the QBs are going to go later in the 1st and at the top of the 2nd round.
