You are certainly entitled to your opinion about Fisher’s qualifications as HC, zn.
If you don’t see that McVay is a fundamental upgrade over Fisher on multiple levels, then that’s fine by me.
I think you're mixing up talent acquisition and coaching abilities. It seems you're conflating them into one...
I see no evidence that the "hit rate" on offensive talent is higher under McVay. The only player we can call a hit for certain is Kupp. It's too soon to call for the rest that are still with the team.
But ability to put that talent in a position to succeed? Big difference there IMO.
There’s only been 2 offseasons for S&M, dz.
But when I consider the draft picks (bearing in mind that they were lower), the FA’s brought in, the trades, and the players that McVay choose not to even work with (Britt, Quick, etc), then I think McVay is miles ahead of the Fisher regime.
And when it comes to player development? It’s more like light years.
