The market was set last year with Jenkins.

This is a clear sign to me that the Rams desperately want Tru but Tru doesn’t want the Rams. Consider this: if he plays under the $16.7 mil. tag, they would have paid him nearly $31 mil. in two seasons. That’s more than the guaranteed amount of the highest paid CB contracts.

So unless the Rams are incompetent, it can be inferred that they’ve been making strong offers and he’s the one turning them down.

Also, in 2012 the Rams counted on two rookie CBs and both turned out pretty well. This level of desperation is simply not warranted.
