The Rams need to use FA to get better at wideout and OG at the least. They probably need to add an ILB as well. Subtract Tru and it makes the CB room look terrible, and then they find themselves chasing Bouye, with other teams throwing money in competition at both of them.
Franchising him now and moving hard to get a deal done is not a bad route to go. They still have enough cap room to nail down a top FA option like Zeitler and fill a wideout and LB who can help. Then in the draft scoop CB, DE, C, etc to supplement weak roster areas.
They're not gonna be able to fill every need. Rams will need some young guys to step up and for them to hit in FA and the draft to put together a good season.
This is apparently one of those rare issues where we just see things differently, Merlin. It happens.
Hope they know what the heck they're doing, but this is giving me flashbacks to some of the poor personnel decisions that we've seen all too often for the last 12 years or so. This might be yet another self inflicted wound.
