On your number 3, I'm sure that is true overall...BUT how many successful offensive players have they drafted? Without looking at specifics, I'd guess that the majority of the offensive picks have not been good...
Well to me that doesn't mean much because if you look at most good drafting teams you can make a similar claim about EITHER the majority of their offensive picks or defensive picks. I mean, do you know what is considered a good hit percentage on drafts by good drafting teams? It a team has a 50% hit rate that is pretty much superlative. Anything from 40% to the high 40s is good.
So even very good drafting teams miss on the majority of their picks.
In terms of the Rams and offensive drafts, that one is so hard to say right now, because we do not know about either Gurley or Goff, and it is still not clear which linemen they took from 2014-15 will hold up.
They haven't done well at receiver but then they lost one (Bailey) due to off the field stuff unrelated to drafting. I happen to like Tavon but then I don't count him as a pure receiver, and I think he served his "multiple weapon" role well in 2015. Who knows yet about the rest of the 2016 offensive picks.
They did draft better on defense. No question.
