Fisher and Snead always said it was collaborative.
Well, that's fine, but that means one of 3 things: either every body agreed, or there was compromise, or that someone had the final say.
My instinct tells me that somebody had the final say. But who? No question in my mind that it was Fisher.
And even before that, Fisher, too, looked at tape and made decisions on the "type" of player he was after.
I always had the impression that Fisher defined the player, and Snead looked for him. Then presented Fisher with a range of choices, and then Fisher was the final decision maker.
Maybe I'm wrong.
Anyone else know anything definitive about that?
Because it sounds as though this is the same arrangement that it will be with McVay, at least offensively. Also sounds like Phillips will define the characteristics of the D players he wants.
