Excellent post, Florida.

I would like to point out the important distinction between an incoming HC being granted the right to approve of the GM and being given the right to have final say on all personnel matters. I know that you know this very well, but I wanted to point it out anyway, since I think it's so important.

I could see one of these whiz kid coordinators maybe being given the former. Just maybe.

But certainly NOT the latter. The latter must be earned over time as an NFL proven HC.

TBH, I view giving a HC final say pretty much as I view the infamous prevent defense. 'Nuff said.

This is not to say that I'm 100% sold on Snead as GM, mind you. If my choices were Reggie McKenzie or Les Snead as GM? It's a no brainer. But I digress...
