Get an OC in that is happy with keeping GW as his DC and doesn't have to change the defensive scheme and also sell Les Snead on him as the GM.
If something like this were to ever materialize, what I don't like about it is that the control and manipulation would be ultimately coming from up top. Bad idea from non-football guys.
Well in this scenario, wouldn’t they be making Snead a real GM? If so, he would be the football guy in charge and the control and manipulation coming from the top would be normal. Unless of course Snead is not up to the task of being a real GM.
But as for the defensive coaches, there would be no control or manipulation. If the new HC has any problem whatsoever with any of the defensive staff, they’re out. Having an idea come from the top is not a problem, it’s not control; forcing the idea on the new HC would be control.
