I was listening to some commentary on the NFL Total Access show about the Rams offense and the comment was made by Kurt Warner that the personnel on the Rams offense are not they type you want for an explosive offense. Frankly I disagree. I think the Rams skilled positions have been held back by Case Keenum’s lack of arm.

I can recall this year many times where receivers were under thrown and opportunities lost because Keenum could not bet the ball there. I think many of you can as well.

Its my opinion that both Kenny Britt and Brian Quick have played much better this season. With a better, more accurate arm at QB I think we could see some offensive explosion from the Rams. Is it going to be reminiscent of the Greatest Show on Turf? No, probably not even close but we will see the difference. And it will be positive.

Couple of prime examples how Keenum’s arm hurt the Rams and how a stronger arm may have made a difference are two throws.

In the 3rd quarter the Rams are driving on the Buffulo Bills and the game is tied at 16.
Keenum trys to throw a long out pattern to Pharoh Cooper and the pass is week and under thrown and the DB steps in front and takes it back for an easy touchdown.

In the 1st quarter versus the Giants in London, Brian Quick thoroughly beats Janoris Jenkins and is 15 yards past him. Keenum lofts a floater that takes forever to get to Quick, allowing Jenkins to catch up and make the tackle on what should have been a touchdown pass.

Later in the Giants game, in the 4th quarter, Quick was open at the Giants goal line and Keenum badly underthrew the ball. A better arm would have made that a completion and probably a score and the Rams most likely win that game.

On the last drive in the Lions game, the pass to Kendricks was badly underthrown and intercepted ending the Rams chances. A better arm completes that pass to Kendricks.

If Goff has truly grasped the offense and understands it and is comfortable in the pocket and looking over a defense then we may see a renaissance on offense for this team.
