Yeah the fan blogs are mostly just editorials, and they are being pretty harsh right now.

I don't read them, myself.

Gawd forbid that we read an opinion that differs from our own...

(Wow a surprising thing for you to say. Do you post blogitorials whose views differ from yours? I can't think of the last time.)

Anyway...I didn't say I don't read opinions that differ. In fact I am all about that. I routinely tell you, for example, that many issues are simply matters of different opinions, and on some issues you have to expect different opinions. On my own board I encourage different views as a mod, and I regularly post articles I don't agree with.

My issue is fan blogs. I don't read THEM. And that's regardless of whether I agree with them or not. Often as not I don't even know if I do...cause I don't read them. I will say there are exceptions...there are writers I do read. But mostly I just have a strong reaction against the entire thing.

AND you should not take that personally. It is not meant to be read as "people are wrong to post fan blogs." However in a world where yes different opinions matter, that was just my opinion. I don't take them seriously, personally. That isn't supposed to dictate to someone else.
