Nice Read:
If we were a 2-14 team last year it would make sense to get Goff ready for the season like TB and TENN did last year. Each of their QB's did poorly to start the season then progressed.
Fisher knows that there will be rookie bumps in the road and he wants to win this year and take a more conservative approach in getting Goff ready. It is unfortunate that our 2nd string pass catchers are drop so many balls but I guess some of them are no longer with us but some still are which does not bode well. I think Fisher will balance winning and getting Goff ready to play during the season with winning as most number one.
There is not need to panic and we should celebrate how much Mannion has improved. He is a solid #2 at a minimum and has potential starter skills. Keenum has also done well this preseason and that is a good thing. If he plays well we should win games and that is what this is all about.
Goff is okay and Keenum is better and seems capable. If Keenum falters Goff will get a shot, if Keenum is good we will win games simple as that.
