So what's your point? That the Rams are a winning team that can't take any risks? Because they're not going to do much differently than they did last year by starting Keenum. We're not talking about having an established starter in front of Goff.
Not to mention, the games that Keenum was winning last year were against bad teams where he didn't throw the ball much. I'm very confident that Goff could handle that sort of thing.
This also isn't a case like the Titans who had a new coach, ineffective running game and a shaky o-line.
That's the whole point, really. The Rams are supposed to be good enough right now to insulate a rookie QB. If Keenum is good enough to win right now, then when do they get Goff into games? Is there an actual plan or does he have to get injured?
If he's not good enough to win right now, then why put off getting Goff some valuable learning? Putting it off now, just means it will be even longer before he's actually getting any experience.
