Two Words For The Pessimists: Frank Cignetti!

Before guys here at TheHerd set their hair on fire because Jerod Goff is not the second-coming of Ben Roethlisberger, let's recall a few things from 2015 shall we?
--Worst 3rd Down Conversion Rate since the NFL started keeping such stats!
In short, Cignetti's play-calling didn't just stink...it was historically the worst in the NFL...ever!!!
--Inability AT CRITICAL TIMES of D to get offa the field in numerous games.....remember James RodeoTacklingClown Laurinaitis?? ...or Chris MIA Long?? They are gone and replaced by tough hard-nosed tacklers in Ogletree and Hayes!!
--Result The CignettiFollies was that Johnny LuckyIGotABionicLeg! Hekker had to punt the ball to the other side too many times to pull out close games.....
and moreover, our Time Of Possession.....one of Fisher's Bedrock Football Tenets, BTW....instead of being in our favor.....worked against us.
I put most of this on Frank VaporLock Cignetti!!
Guess what??

Moreover, our OLine seems to have gelled & matured somewhat, and our 2016 RB Stable suddenly seems full of tackle-busters.
I guess my point is this....
In spite of Frank Cignetti's High School Gameplans
In spite of the resultant Historically Worst In The NFL 3rd Down Conversion Rate....EVER!
In spite of spotty defensive play....remember that mailed in effort versus the hapless Bears....at home in the Dome!!!??
In spite of Gurley only playing 11 games (he sat out the finale and first 4, remember?)
In spite of Nick BattleFatigued Foles feckless ineffective quarterbacking
In spite of OLine suffering from TMY Syndrome (Too Many Yutes!) last year
In spite of LT Greg Robinson pooping the bed in most games
In spite of losing a starting CB for the whole season
.....did I mention Foles looking like he was a Battle of Khe Sanh survivor by mid-season???
....did I mention that Frank Cignetti as a NFL OC was as sharp as a Bag Of Wet Mice???!!!
Anyway.....despite all of the above problems, Los Ramos de 2015 came within a coupla FGs of going 9-7 last year!!!
THINK ABOUT THAT, DESPITE HAVING TO FIRE OUR NEW OC AT MIDSEASON, LOS RAMOS NEARLY WENT 9-7....AND IF YOU COUNT THE T-H-R-E-E LOSSES OF MINNESOTA, BALTIMORE AND SF FINALE....WHICH I DON'T...I JUST SAY LET'S LOOK AT 2 OUTA 3 TO BE FAIR-MINDED.....BUT IF YOU LOOK AT ALL THREE CLIFF-HANGER GAMES....WE CUDDA BEEN 10-6!!!
So I really don't see what all the doom&gloom is about around here for our 2016 prospects.
Jared Goff has some talent, but needs to learn and also put on about 20 pounds of muscle! In the end, he might not end up being Tom Brady.....BUT HE AIN'T GONNA BE BUBBY BRISTER EITHER, OKAY!!!
