We have all watched what happens to rookie QBs with great promise when they are forced to start when they aren't ready. It is truly tragic. Who can deny the physical ability of David Carr or Couch or Akili Smith and others who were thrown into the deep end and expected to learn on the job? And now with the new CBA that limits contact between team and player how do you quickly develop a position player let alone a QB?
Expansion team, expansion team and the Bengals during the horrid years. None of your examples compare to what Goff would be playing under. I have asked many times why they couldn't insulate Goff like they did Keenum. 20 attempts per game and 120 yards and 1 td on average.

Not to mention the current landscape of the NFL. Rookie QB's come in and perform well on a regular basis. It's probably more common than them coming in and struggling. Is Goff the rare exception that will struggle? If so, why? Was the scouting so bad that they couldn't tell if this guy could beat out the likes of Case Keenum?

And please, let us not compare Rodgers/Favre or even Palmer/Kitna to this situation. Keenum is BARELY a backup caliber NFL QB. That Goff is being held back because of him is just sad.

With very few exceptions, most teams struggle to win with a rookie QB ...
I understand the frustration that some have that Goff isn't ready to start and for the 100th time, I wanted Goff to start too, but at what cost is it worth it???

Most of those teams that threw the rookies in to start day one weren't "ready" either, but those teams had nothing to lose and not much of a QB in front of them, that is not the case with the Rams(pardon the pun)
I'm willing to bet the coaches know a shot ton more about what's best for this team then me and are going to do what ever gives this team the best chance at winning right now.
Snead said something a few years ago that stuck with me when he said they're "not looking at what's best for this team with a microscope.... They're going to look at it with a telescope"
As in they're in it for the long haul and are going to do what's best for our future...

I know in this microwave society that people want it now and don't like waiting....but most of the time it comes out better when you use the oven instead.

The constant Fisher bashing that has been going on gets kinda old..... Let's just see how this plays out before we condemn him for it.

Hoping Keenum can win 10 or 11 games seems delusional

It won't be QB play that holds us back; it'll be WR
