I think it was when college QBs began to pass the ball more. Back in the day college QBs didn't see complex coverages an blitzes. Now they do.
My issue isn't a rookie toting a clipboard, any generic rookie that is. But one you paid such a price for, it's a problem. Not devastating, but it raises questions.
