If I'm a collegiate coach I may care about a kid's "dreams" but-my responsibility is to my employer and if that is to win games and generate funds from the alumni than I'm going to do what I have to do.

Again, as a coach I don't work at the bequest of the NFL.

I'm comparing anybody who goes to a learning institution to learn a trade or skill with the hopes of gaining a marketable skill in the professional world. There is zero difference between the responsibility that institution has to a young man wanting that to be engineering or auto mechanic or professional football player. And if your argument is that coaches can't win in college without abdicating that responsibility, then you need to explain how the most successful coach in college football today plus many others, somehow do it.
