If CK is leading the Rams to wins, no one should have a problem w/Goff learning in practice and from the sidelines.
When Russel Wilson is complimenting the great defense and strong running game of the Seahawks, it's not really the same when Keenum is just not throwing the ball and not taking chances.
This is aside from the fact that the Rams spent a boatload of draft picks to still be starting the JAG. We could have started Keenum and spent all those picks on something else but now we have Goff riding the pine? This isn't like Favre/Rodgers where Favre was still playing at a high level and blocking Rodgers. This is 6 draft picks for a guy who can't beat out Case Keenum! I think it's perfectly reasonable to have a problem with that.
Honestly, that's just silly.
I don't know exactly what you mean by JAG here, but Keenum to me looks like more than what I would call "Just a Guy." He looks like a pretty good quarterback. And, certainly, if he can continue to move this offense and get TD's in the red zone like he has thru two - well, that's pretty much the bottom line. The fact that he has some wheels, some fire to him, seems to command the respect of his teammates... I really have no problem w/a #1 pick who's not yet better than that guy.
And I think there's very little chance that Goff won't improve substantially. Honestly, if Case did very well, the Rams got off to a great start, the offense was humming under Case, I'd have no problem having Goff sit & learn all year. Unless Case turns into the second coming of Kurt Warner, if Goff can't win the starting job by the start of NEXT year - THAT'S something I'd have a problem with.
You don't know what I mean by JAG but then, you do know what it means? JAG = Just A Guy.
Keenum looks like a pretty good QB? Okay, if the Rams have a pretty good QB as the incumbent, does it seem all that wise to have spent 6 draft picks on his replacement? They have a "pretty good" QB in Keenum and they have a young QB in Mannion who's showing plenty of potential. Was Goff really a once in a generation, must have QB? For a team that doesn't feature the passing game?
