Issac Bruce... by his own admission ... took him EIGHT regular season games before things started clicking. I think Goff will be ready sooner.
I can't help but compare Goff to Derek Carr ... I think Goff will be the better QB ... yet Carr was NFL ready on game 1 of his career.
Carr played by faith ... faith that the play would work out like he was told it would by his coaches... and yes the play(s) succeeded.
Goff seems to be more of a "I need to see it for myself before I buy into it" type of guy ... and usually... the Goff type of mentality will have a slightly slower learning curve, but will ascend to a higher level.
But I'm not convinced that Goff won't be ready by game 1.
Goff's poise is amazing .. only one QB I remember having better poise was Kenny (4-year project before starting) Stabler.
Stabler's poise and swagger said ... "everyone in the stadium expects this play to fail, but just watch me pull something out of my a$$ and then I'll laugh in your face" ...
Goff's poise is like an attorney standing before the Supreme Court who knows he's putting forth a convincing argument..
I think Goff will start game 1 ... game 3 by the latest.

the video doesn't show how good his hands really are. I think he can be the next Danny Amendola.... with Chris Carter's hands... and then some.
