PFF grades are unbiased and consistent, and although some debate the accuracy on the margin, most everyone believes they are in the ballpark of being accurate.
The point: Shelton was the 12th highest graded center in the league last year. Not too shabby. Limmer was horrible as 35th ranked center, and Limmer's pass blocking grade of 44 passes the eyeball test - he was a sieve.
