The Rams will get next to nothing in return, because what this is, is a salary dump.
I suspect we'll see something like Kupp plus a 7th round pick for a 6th, and with the Rams eating some of his cap.
And, I agree with what the Rams are doing. The team has to be pragmatic, and not operate like fans. Kupp is on the decline and new blood is needed. Hanging onto him first of all costs more than his contributions is worth, but it also hinders a younger player from getting the starting reps.
I still think the Rams have a big target in mind in Tee Higgins.
