But what is unexpected if true that Rams haven't asked Kupp to renegotiate.
I get that they really to keep the player as a person central to all that they do.... does this mean they won't ask kupp to take a pay cut but will just trade him.
I wonder what the market would be for Kupp if he was a FA. From last seasons showing I would be impressed if he got more that say
I'm pretty sure they tried to get him to take a pay cut, but Kupp rejected the deal, which is his right and can't blame him, so they let him know that they will seek a trade partner that he can agree to and go their seperate ways....
Not the first fading star to be dumped by his original team and won't be the last....It is a business at the end of the day for both the players and the team.
Sad day indeed, but it is what it is.....
I see a lot of people on here questioning the Rams for some of their moves, but they are obviously doing something right as they have been one of the most successful teams in the NFL for almost a decade now....Kupp deserved the contract when he signed it, unfortunately his body failed him at the end....it's a brutal game these guys play.
Kupp will always be a Rams legend ...but I don't think he is done yet.
Good luck, Cooper.....Thanks for the memories
