No, that's right but with Curl that number will go down.

Is that right?

That was good for 48.5% of the defensive snaps. I cannot fathom him being on the field that much as a 4th LBer (counting 2 edge backers and Jones)

If true, ILB was more of a need than anyone thought.

Help me out on this one.

Rozeboom played nickel (money) LBer whereas in past years it was played by Rapp in 2021 or John Johnson III in 2020 ...

2022 was different in that they had Wagner and Jones, so they played 2 LBers in nickel ... but in 2023 rather than go with a John Johnson III or Rapp
kind of guy they went with Rozeboom

In 2024 they have Curl, who can play next to Jones in nickel and then have 2 safeties back and Lake in Star.

In 2023 they couldn't afford Wagner, and couldn't afford to find a replacement, so in a lean year they had to play what they had and they didn't seem to have confidence in Yeast as the money -- remember how he was talked about as that guy? It never panned out and Rams had more confidence with Rozeboom as the "money" than Yeast.

I think in 2024 the Curl singing will put him in the money LBer spot next to Jones.

I think Rozeboom played that many snaps by default because Yeat missed too many tackles and maybe couldn't do what the wanted.

As far as the base 3-4 ... Rozeboom played next to Jones and unless someone beats him out, hopefully the UDFA, he will play but much less than in 2023.

I would have loved a small trade up for Payton Wilson at 96, 97, 98 ?

No one doubts his ability. Just guessing Rams want LBers with two ACLs

JimYoungblood5364May 06, 2024 10:11AM

Rozeboom with 550 snaps last year?

Its hard to argue with the Rams draft, maybe I would change the tail end?

Deadpool81May 06, 2024 10:14AM

Clearly the Rams had a definite idea of the positions they wanted to fortify

RockRam42May 06, 2024 12:53PM

For a 6th, we could have had Corum and Wilson in the 3rd with a safety later

since6841May 06, 2024 01:03PM

If all that were true why did he last to 98?

JimYoungblood5347May 06, 2024 01:10PM

You are right 53, I'm just going by what I saw on tape not knowing what Ram's doctors know

since6830May 06, 2024 01:30PM

  ???

JimYoungblood5331May 06, 2024 02:00PM

Just saw this video of Payton Wilson, thought some might want to see his speed

since6827May 08, 2024 09:29PM

Convince the Rams ... I bet McSnead were aware of him

JimYoungblood5316May 08, 2024 10:00PM

Maybe he lacks physicality in run game?

JimYoungblood5317May 08, 2024 10:36PM

I think so too all my sons were stoked about that Pick !

BerendsenRam43May 07, 2024 07:49PM

  Michael Pratt

They didn't need a WR; I think not picking a LB tells us something
