Is that right?
That was good for 48.5% of the defensive snaps. I cannot fathom him being on the field that much as a 4th LBer (counting 2 edge backers and Jones)
If true, ILB was more of a need than anyone thought.

Help me out on this one.
Rozeboom played nickel (money) LBer whereas in past years it was played by Rapp in 2021 or John Johnson III in 2020 ...
2022 was different in that they had Wagner and Jones, so they played 2 LBers in nickel ... but in 2023 rather than go with a John Johnson III or Rapp
kind of guy they went with Rozeboom
In 2024 they have Curl, who can play next to Jones in nickel and then have 2 safeties back and Lake in Star.
In 2023 they couldn't afford Wagner, and couldn't afford to find a replacement, so in a lean year they had to play what they had and they didn't seem to have confidence in Yeast as the money -- remember how he was talked about as that guy? It never panned out and Rams had more confidence with Rozeboom as the "money" than Yeast.
I think in 2024 the Curl singing will put him in the money LBer spot next to Jones.
I think Rozeboom played that many snaps by default because Yeat missed too many tackles and maybe couldn't do what the wanted.
As far as the base 3-4 ... Rozeboom played next to Jones and unless someone beats him out, hopefully the UDFA, he will play but much less than in 2023.
