They signed Hoecht for this year, but hopefully they draft someone who can upgrade his position.

But no matter who plays there, they will have to cover. Hoecht was a guy filling in for a defense that had little talent. And that had issues at CB. All that plays into it.

So, if Rams draft a rookie edge---and he's not good right away, and if Hoecht is forced into a starting role -- he will have to cover sometimes. It's just a fact.
That is what OLBers have to do sometimes.

I think the hope is that they won't have to with better rush and better coverage.
