I think it is fine but he'd be a backup there, too

What do you think of moving Hoecht in to DE?

Either as a rotational player or situational passing down player? Has he ever played there?
.

I think a riole as a backup edge and situation pass rusher is possible --- he can do that

yes, he's played a rusher in passing situations both as a DE and a DT ...

I am assuming when you say "DE" that you mean in place of Jonah Williams --- again, yeah, as a backup.

Would like to see Dejuan Johnson there or maybe we draft Fiske, he may fit .. maybe strong enough to play but also
could offer some pass rush.

Our DL play gap-1/2 which means the have their primary gap and have to help or squeeze or work to a secondary gap, that someone else has
so it takes some athletic ability.

Jonah Williams did pretty well, I didn't see a lot of big plays but didn't see a lot of big mistakes. Would love to see a gu there who can no make mistakes, but that can ALSO make some big plays. Brockers and A'Shawn are ones who played that and while neither was great, both were good. A'Shawn could get lazy---but when motivated he could be very good, but he was like Suh --- he'd mail it in for long stretches.

If it were me ----and this is just me, rams may go totally different
I'd trade down, get at least another 3rd round

then
1 BPA among among edge, DI, CB
2. Whatever we didn't get, edge, DI or CB -- if a good WR is there--
3, BOA among what we didn't get
3. same
3, Same

I hope we come out with edge, DI, CB, WR and something else --- in first 5 picks.

Hoecht is someone to keep around, IMO, and Rams are doing that

JimYoungblood5348April 10, 2024 10:42PM

Yup, we shall see 43! I have hopes for him too.

You can't consider Shula an upgrade until we've seen the defense
