I just don't think big spending is required to take advantage of this window. A bigger factor at this point would drafting well again in 2024. They need pieces, no question. Most specifically at CB and Edge rusher. And maybe someone like Hunter could be brought in. They have flexibility in 2025 and 2026 to backload a deal with someone like him.

I just think when you breakdown what this team needs it's another good draft and a few pieces here and there. The right ones certainly. But it's quality, not quantity.

For a guy like Stafford who is 36 I don't think it's wise at all to restructure and add a lot of money to his deal in 2025 and 2026. I say stand where they are with him knowing that if/when he does retire they then have plenty of money to get that next guy.

We’re really not far apart in our thinking here, 93.

I do know that Snead likes to plug holes in FA prior to his drafts and that Edge and at least 1 starting boundary CB are such holes. So, if it’s necessary to restructure Stafford, then I have little doubt that they’ll do it.

Boom’s contract will be addressed one way or another by next week.

After that, like you, I think it’s largely gonna be the draft followed afterward by judicious FA acquisitions for anything they missed.

Bottom line, I just can’t see this Rams front office not restructuring during a critical Super Bowl push season. It’s just not in their DNA, man.
