As I see it the Rams didn't have the resources (draft picks and cap space) to address every need for the 2023 season. My thinking is if they plugged the hole at edge the team simply would have had a hole someplace.

The plan for 2023 as I saw it was to do what they could with what they had and simply lay the foundation for 2024 and beyond. To me they did that in spades and the fact that they have holes all over the roster right now - including at edge - is neither a surprise nor a disappointment.
