If he lasts to 19, why wouldn't he last to 40 or 50? Why wouldn't we trade down ?

There are highly talented backups that could be starters woth training that could be had later.

Bo Nix or McCarthy
Then
Michael Pratt
Tanner Mordecai
Austin Reed
Sam Hartman
Taulia Tags
And Spencer Rattler.

I know that Nix and McCarthy will be drafted before them.

I don't know who will be better under mcvay tutelage in 2026. They're all really similar. Right now I'd lean Mordecai. Then likely Rattler.
