That dude in GB has done a better overall job. I also think that Shanahan in Frisco has done an overall better job even though his winning pct. is slightly under McVay's.
This season, just like last season, proved that McVay still has his flaws, such as predilection for passing, and neglecting the running game. By now, I expected a coach, who's previously acknowledged those flaws, to have corrected himself. That was not the case this season.

He's very good but not elite.
He is very good and he's shown he's capable of learning from his mistakes. Unfortunately, he's been a bit too slow to change his methodology and under stress he plays to his strengths, right or wrong.
That dude in Philly has also done well for himself.
I'm delighted that he's our coach and I don't want him to leave. The longer I watch him the more I support him. Maybe this next season he'll turn the corner and run the ball more?
I get your points Coy and there always stats to back up any argument or side.
A winning percentage is undeniable but I will question if any of those 3 dudes you mention are "better" than McVay.
GB Dude, Philly Dude and Frisco Dude...
What do all 3 of those dudes have in common? Not one of them has won a Super Bowl as a HC.
The GB dude has never even taken his team to a SB.
The Philly Dude got there last year and lost and almost got fired this year after a historic collapse.
The Frisco Dude is a well known "choke artist" in big games. Look no further than his last 3 NFCCG's. BTW, one of those NFCCG's he lost was against McVay.
So, for me, winning a SB trumps all 3 of those Dudes.
McVay is far from perfect and I agree with your points regrading his "flaws" but all 3 of those Dudes have flaws too so I will take the guy who actually won the SB over any of them as my HC!

The Frisco Dude might be the closest to McVay but the other 2 Dudes need to accomplish a h3ll of a lot more to be compared to McVay.
