I don’t think he’s proven to be elite and I’ve been pretty clear as to why I think that. People don’t have to agree but I can only give my opinion and then support that opinion by providing data
Also what is his record against Shanny and Lafluer? How can you be the best coach in the NFC and not be able to beat those teams
IMO if McVay was the best coach in the NFC the Rams would be playing SF this weekend. If he was the best coach in the NFC he would not have had Brett Rypein as his backup a year after the Perkins Wolford disaster at that. If he was the best coach it would not have take a complete collapse to 3-6 before he realized what he had in Kyren Williams and realizing that putting the entire offense on Stafford at this point in his career was not smart.
When you say someone is the best you don’t say it just because you’re a fan of the team or you like them. He has to coach like he’s the best. Not just design the best plays
I’d say he’s top 10 in the NFL and more to prove to say he’s the best.
