There would have to be someone they really like to stay where they're going to be (21/22/23?) in round 1. I see them trading down to 30, 31, 32 or into the top of round 2.
For me, I can see this as well. I think the value there at 22 would still be there are 30 for what we want. I have 5 "sure things" at WR. But that doesn't mean that 6-12 at the position are slouches, there's not much drop off right after so round 2 is still good. Tre Harris? Brian Thomas Jr.? Troy Franklin? Jalen McMillan?
I can't buy that they would take a QB in round 1.
Same. Not with how well Matt is playing. Wasted pick when you could give him protection or weapons.
Maybe a LOT. Partially because I can easily see Jackson move to the Right side and do a good job in time. And, while Jackson is a battler, an upgrade there is not out of the question.
This is an interesting things, because the top 3 are all OLT prospects, and 2 of the next 5 are playing now at ORT and it's not certain they could flip. But then 2 of those 5 are OLTs (PPaul, Barton and J Morgan) and could likely be had around pick 30. If one of the top 3 slides? It's hard to not think we'd go after them, I just don't see us jumping ten spots.
I have a hard time seeing them take a WR tin Round 1....but with McVay you never know. You simply can't have enough weapons. And, with his injury, I wonder if that TE from Georgia might slip to the bottom part of round 1.
He may slide into the teens ... but ... he's a freak. Chargers, though they should take O line, would likely jump at the chance.
I wonder if there is a dynamic Edge that might be there?
Latu and Verse will go top 10. Then there's Dallas Turner that might be worth an early pick but he should come off before 20. I really hope we get a starter in FA. The rest are simply not "dynamic."
Here's the thing: I want to see them not screw around and lose either Spoon or Dotson. These are two really good players. And they would leave huge holes if they departed. So this is the first place I'd look to spend FA money.

The thing I'd like to see is a FAST FS that can make up ground. Between Johnson and Fuller we must have the slowest starting Safety tandem in the NFL.
I like some smaller safeties ... I need numbers but I think we could really hit on some players later
One thing that I'm being kinda quiet about, is Jerzahn "Johnny" Newton. Couple years ago, when UGA's Jarrad Davis and Devonte Wyatt came out, I had Wyatt rated higher. He went late 20s while Davis went at ... 12? I think?
Now, they were teammates, but we're in a similar situation this year with the top DTs. T'Vondre Sweat is 6-5 350 and can move. Newton is 6-2 294. If we trade down to the late 20s and Newton is there? We have Donald's replacement "by committee" between he and Turner. Of course Im not comparing either to the greatest ever ... but if you told me I could replace Donald's 16 sacks with two DTs that would generate the same numbers along with pressures and TFLs? I think you'd be happy. I would.
