Does this mean a majority of us believe in Morris now? The detractors have been quite loud even when we won a Chip. Or is our appreciation of his accomplishments going to continue being recency bias based?
I, for one, am a solid Raheem Morris fan. Sean trusts him and so do I. What's more, I believe his players trust him and the level they do is a level well earned.
Many people including myself have given Morris plenty of credit this year. He is coaching like a different coach this year.
I was one of his biggest critics for running that Ultra Soft Zone 95% of the time while having 3 hof'ers on his unit. He played scared week after week. IMO, he deserved the criticism last year.
This year he seems to be playing a bit more aggressive and a LOT less of the Charmin Shell. Not even close to the 95% from last year.
I have said it a bunch this year that Morris and his staff really have these kids playing hard, smart and fast. Morris has them all buying into what he is selling this year! (Maybe that's because he's selling a different "product" this year!)
I am very happy to see this "new" Morris and have no problem saying I like what he is doing this year. I call it as I see it...good or bad.
Now if he suddenly goes back to using that Charmin Shell as his primary defense, we can revisit this but for now, Kudos to Mr. Morris for what he is doing this year!
#HelmetHornsMatter
“Well, the color is good, I like the metallic blue,” Youngblood recently said while laughing, via NFL Journal. “The horn is terrible. It looks like a ‘C.’ When I first saw it on the logo I honestly thought it was a Charger logo.
“Now when I see it on the helmet, it just isn’t a ram horn. There is no distinct curl like a mature ram horn. I don’t know how the Rams could get that wrong. That is your symbol and it has been for what? Seventy years or more? Longer than I have been alive? It’s just not us, it’s not the Rams.”---Mr. Ram Jack Youngblood
