My Thoughts so Far
Stafford has been good
Offensive Line has been mostly good except for Cinn game. They are starting to jell.
RB: I give it an okay after yesterday. Below okay before that. Williams stepped up and Rivers produced yesterday which is hope for the future
WR: Wow this unit looks strong. Puka what a find and Kupp is back either next week or the week after.
TE: Higbee has been really good
Offensive play calling: I think we have actually under performed in this area
Defense: A lot better than I thought
Defensive Line: Wow not perfect but pretty darn good considering all the youth and inexperience we have. They seem to get some good pressure and are pretty good against the run.
Edge/LB: Again better than expected but still have a ways to go. Young looks like a player thought has made some dumb plays. Jones is gaming and so is Rosenboom. Hoecht in pass protection? That seems like a defensive scheme issue to me. This unit is on the rise
Defensive Backfield: Again better than expected. Heck even Kendricks has improved as things have gone on. Yes you get some dumb plays and mix ups in coverage. Yeast and Tomlinson had stupid penalties yesterday and before that Kendricks had that issue but overall this unit has been better than expected.
Special teams: Can we get a punt return without a damn penalty? Kicker is a bit iffy. Punter is another draft find.
Overall: You got to be optimistic we are 2-2 and easily could be 3-1 or 1-3 for that matter. You got to like the way we are competing in every aspect of the game so far. Can we make the playoffs? I say we have a decent shot but no more then 50/50
