Rampage2K-
missing the point, we all agree they should have ran it more, but it is NOT all on McVay....that is the point.
I doubt he is mad at Stafford for checking out of runs if he thought it was the wrong play either...It is what it is. There is multiple layers as to why they didn't run it more, it doesn't start and stop with McVay. That is what people try to make it out to be, but it just isn't. nor should it be with a player like Stafford at QB who knows what he is doing back there.
As I said earlier. McVay has done this before even without Stafford as the QB but I will agree Stafford gets some blame too for changing the plays because we are pretty sure he did just that.
For me though, the buck stops at the top with McVay. I know some people don't like to criticize coaches but not me. They are fair game IMO and deserve to be called out when it's appropriate...and this time IMO was appropriate.
Again, I am not concerned enough to think this will be an every week thing. It won't. McVay calls way more good games than he calls stinkers! lol
So yes, Stafford is to blame too. I agree with you but I cannot fully absolve McVay of any blame either. It's not worth arguing about who deserves the most blame either.
I think Stafford AND McVay redeem themselves this week and we can finally move on from that disaster!
#HelmetHornsMatter
“Well, the color is good, I like the metallic blue,” Youngblood recently said while laughing, via NFL Journal. “The horn is terrible. It looks like a ‘C.’ When I first saw it on the logo I honestly thought it was a Charger logo.
“Now when I see it on the helmet, it just isn’t a ram horn. There is no distinct curl like a mature ram horn. I don’t know how the Rams could get that wrong. That is your symbol and it has been for what? Seventy years or more? Longer than I have been alive? It’s just not us, it’s not the Rams.”---Mr. Ram Jack Youngblood
