Is it Matthew Stafford who does not appear to always see the blitz or feel the rush?
Is it McVay who is watching the game unfold or his coaches in the booth?
Is it the tablets that the y scrutinize after a series?
Is it the play calling?
Is it the line-up that is selected to the 53 man roster
We always hear about the intentions after the game but what about the management of the game
Stafford is too experienced to be doing what he is doing off angle passing and floating balls and all the things a young healthy Stafford could get away with.
Stafford is not an appreciating asset and so there may be less fear of him and our WRs than in previous years but in no way should that be enough to excuse the need for our offense to become deliberately more methodical and disciplined.
The notion that we would only win with offense a high-flying offense has been debunked.
The idea that we could not have beaten the 9ers is also simply ignoring the facts.
We could have beaten the refs and the Bengals Monday night if McVay and Stafford were on their game. They are letting this team down.and wasting precious efforts of their teammates.
Thomas was hardly the best option and all the passing when we could see Stafford's delivering dropping more and more thru the game. Someone has to notice that?
Ego is a dangerous thing. Focusing on a Knockout is not the best way to win a fight, it is not a good fight plan. Preparing to fight and and expecting a fight is so much wiser.
Snead on McVay's behalf intimated we had plans to activate more runners and yet we did not. He also suggested the crowd noise discouraged some of our run opportunities is merely laughable.
We are a team without and identity guided and lead by a misguided notion we can still be as loosey-goosey as we have been in years past and that we can be a high flying high scoring machine. We need to dominate the LOS and TOP and do what it takes to win. We need to play complimentary football like Cincy did.
We need to grow up quick and that is saying a lot when we are calling McVay one of the greatest offensive minds in the history of the game yet like Martz he has kryptonite and its his Ego. I beginning to feel Stafford has also been affected. I felt that he was determined to throw a TD over getting a First Down.
