Several times against the Bengals, Stafford lobbed errant passes downfield in a way that it seemed that he was playing a casual game of catch in his backyard. I don't know what to make of it, but it looked very strange. He has been rushing risky sidearm passes at the last minute and holding onto the ball way too long. You can't take a sack when it's first and goal at the two yard line. That mistake alone could be regarded as the difference in the game in terms of the four point difference in scoring. It seems that Stafford has some bad habits that wouldn't be expected for a veteran QB. On the other had, I thought he looked as good as ever at times during the first two games.
I wonder if he has had too many hits to the head from all the sacks he has taken over the years. CTE could be effecting his judgement?
