And anyone who think Holmes has unlocked Goff.. that's a big stretch right now.
They are still conservative with Goff.
Andy Reid to Mahomes... it's 4th and 25.. ball is in your hands.
Dan Campbell to Goff... it's 3rd and 2, critical juncture... hand the ball off.
They aren't letting Goff loose at all... no trust that he can make the play.
3rd and 6 on a critical down... let's do a design WR quick screen to Reynolds.
It's not creative nor letting the offense loose.
I don't see the trust in Goff.
Then why did they go for it on 4th down inside their own 20 in the first quarter??? Which, BTW, Goff led them right down the field to score a TD.
That sounds like trust to me...and it paid off.
IMO, they just aren't asking Goff to do things are not in his strengths which is the smart thing to do.
FWIW, Goff looked pretty calm and collected when he was blitzed last night where as in years past, he might have crumbled. I like what they are doing with Goff and I think they "trust" him just fine.
#HelmetHornsMatter
“Well, the color is good, I like the metallic blue,” Youngblood recently said while laughing, via NFL Journal. “The horn is terrible. It looks like a ‘C.’ When I first saw it on the logo I honestly thought it was a Charger logo.
“Now when I see it on the helmet, it just isn’t a ram horn. There is no distinct curl like a mature ram horn. I don’t know how the Rams could get that wrong. That is your symbol and it has been for what? Seventy years or more? Longer than I have been alive? It’s just not us, it’s not the Rams.”---Mr. Ram Jack Youngblood
