As it turns out, it's because he was a 6th round draft pick who's played for 3 teams since he was drafted.
Like I said in another post, the word 'tanking' isn't correct, but anyone with even 1/2 a brain can see what the Rams are up to.
"Rebuilding", "Retooling", "Restocking", "Tanking" all meant the same things IMO. The "priority" is not on winning.
It's all semantics, IMO.
Call it whatever you want. Deny it being a "tank" job. It really doesn't matter because it's all the same thing.
Nobody wants to think their team is "deliberately" not trying to win. No coach or team would EVER admit it but it happens EVERY year!
Yes, the Rams will be trying to win every game this year. Guess what? So will every other team in the NFL including the Cardinals who aren't hiding it as well as the Rams are! lol
The problem is that the Rams PURPOSELY downgraded the talent level of the team therefore making it a LOT harder to win games. Again, they CHOSE to do it. Like it or not, it's a fact.
News Flash, if you gut your team of talent and replace it with unproven inexperienced and lesser talent than what you had, you are "tanking", "Rebuilding" "Retooling". Call it what you want.
Now there might be different degrees of "tanking" from totally gutting "ALL" your stars to only keeping "some" of them.
Most teams cannot get rid of everyone in one season due to contracts and others intangibles even if they wanted to.
So why call it a "Retool" instead of "tanking"? Because that would imply that the team isn't trying as hard to win this season and that just wouldn't be a smart financial thing to do.
So call it whatever you want. Everybody can see what is going on here with the Rams.
There was talk of the Rams moving Stafford and AD too. I think Kupp was the only one who wasn't mentioned. lol
I would not be surprised if AD is gone before the end of the season to acquire as many high picks as we can.
#HelmetHornsMatter
“Well, the color is good, I like the metallic blue,” Youngblood recently said while laughing, via NFL Journal. “The horn is terrible. It looks like a ‘C.’ When I first saw it on the logo I honestly thought it was a Charger logo.
“Now when I see it on the helmet, it just isn’t a ram horn. There is no distinct curl like a mature ram horn. I don’t know how the Rams could get that wrong. That is your symbol and it has been for what? Seventy years or more? Longer than I have been alive? It’s just not us, it’s not the Rams.”---Mr. Ram Jack Youngblood
