Why wouldn't they just keep Richard LeCounte instead of signing John Johnson?
Why wouldn't they just keep Robert Rochelle instead of signing Ahkello Witherspoon?
Why wouldn't they just keep Xavier Smith instead of signing Demarcus Robinson?
Whay wouldn't they just keep Tanner Brown instead of signing Brett Maher?
They kept a lot of talented youngsters. Why wouldn't they cut those guys and keep guys of lesser talent? (Like Logan Bruss instead of Warren McClendon, Jr, etc.)
I don't know what you see, but what I see is a team with a self-imposed/self-inflicted low budget that is not interested in spending much future capital on this year's team, but within that constraint are building the best team they can.
But to be fair, I'll ask: what could they have done that they didn't do to put a better team on the field (without spending next year's cap and with a serious hit on next year's draft)?
