There's an argument to be made that the Rams' smart drafting went with Brad Holmes to Detroit.
The backup QB thing is frustrating. Last year it was plain to see from preseason games that Wolford and Perkins didn't have NFL arms, and so they got into NFL games and... so it proved. If the fans could see it...
Expecting a 4th round rookie to be your backup to an oft-injured starting QB and a less-than-stellar offensive line doesn't seem the wisest move in the world.
Whatever they say, this season is clearly a "give a young defense a learning year to improve" ready for next season, where we'll have a load of cap room and, one presumes, one of the top QBs in the '24 draft.
Thoroughly expecting AD to be traded to a contender before the trade deadline. Dude deserves a chance at one more ring before he retires, rather than slogging his way to a 4-13 season, which appears likely.
I think you might have nailed it about Holmes going to Detroit brother! Seems like we took a step backwards after he left.
As for AD "deserving another chance at a ring" is also spot on. The problem is Morris and his lack of creativity and timid "scheme" he uses that only handcuffs AD.
AD would do much better without Morris and his Charmin Shell and I bet AD agrees with me!
Nice post!
#HelmetHornsMatter
“Well, the color is good, I like the metallic blue,” Youngblood recently said while laughing, via NFL Journal. “The horn is terrible. It looks like a ‘C.’ When I first saw it on the logo I honestly thought it was a Charger logo.
“Now when I see it on the helmet, it just isn’t a ram horn. There is no distinct curl like a mature ram horn. I don’t know how the Rams could get that wrong. That is your symbol and it has been for what? Seventy years or more? Longer than I have been alive? It’s just not us, it’s not the Rams.”---Mr. Ram Jack Youngblood
