The backup QB thing is frustrating. Last year it was plain to see from preseason games that Wolford and Perkins didn't have NFL arms, and so they got into NFL games and... so it proved. If the fans could see it...
Expecting a 4th round rookie to be your backup to an oft-injured starting QB and a less-than-stellar offensive line doesn't seem the wisest move in the world.
Whatever they say, this season is clearly a "give a young defense a learning year to improve" ready for next season, where we'll have a load of cap room and, one presumes, one of the top QBs in the '24 draft.
Thoroughly expecting AD to be traded to a contender before the trade deadline. Dude deserves a chance at one more ring before he retires, rather than slogging his way to a 4-13 season, which appears likely.
