Goff was a player who excelled at Cal and stood out when
He led comebacks to win games.
He never gave up even when Fisher and McVay had poor play calling and didn't know how to make make changes during the game.
Saturday night was a perfect example.
McVay watched a team that was completely lost and didn't know what to do on the field.
They were in poor positions to be successful, the Broncos made them look terrible.
The defense waits for players to get to them, watches the ball carrier until they think they are in position then make feeble attempts to make a tackle failing to tackle them and reverting to chasing the ball carrier past the first down line.
This sequence happened the entire game because the Broncos with a coach who knew exactly what to do to take advantage of a poorly coached team.
No team will ever be winners lining up the defense so far off the ball the other team just has to get the yards the Rams give them because them play so far back. All successful defenses attack instead of playing timid.
The Rams players haven't been taught or told to attack the ball carrier or fend off blocks so they can stop the other team from marching down the field at will.
McVays play calling is predictable and easy to defend.
The Rams will have no success with coaches who don't know what they are doing.
Against the chargers the stats were close, but they were out of the game early, gave up 5 sacks and 10 quarterback hits.
Against the Raiders they were commit outclassed, 25-12 first downs, 440-220 yards, rams did a better job protecting the quarterback but still got dominated.
Against the broncos the Rams looked like a last place pop Warner team. They did nothing good.
It will be a long season if they can't make drastic improvements.
