To what extent is Raheem running the defgense he is told to run, as opposed to running his own scheme? Given his complete 'druthers, what would he do differently, and with what results?

Whatever - even though the defense is geared to not give up big chunk plays and stiffen up as the field gets shorter to prevent touchdowns, time of possession works against our offense. Forced turnovers tend to go into the tank.
I think that turnovers could go higher while TOP goes lower IF the D had a steady pass rush from someone other than Donald. Fix the rush, and the whole D looks better - including the coach.
