21Dog
Many consider Jason Kelce the best in the game at center. He weighs 295. So there's that.
Excellent point, Dog.
I think Shelton ‘plays bigger’ than Allen, if that makes any sense.
))))
Agreed.
Shelton is also on record for more often searching down field for the next guy to block after his first assignment, than Allen.
That has nothing to do with height or weight. Imo, Shelton plays with more dog in him and that could contribute to a slight advantage in the run game.
seems like Allen's play has declined a bit or should I say "has become less physical"? Maybe the injuries and wear and tear on his body are piling up?
I don't think I ever would call Allen a "physical" OC. IMO, he is more of a "finesse" OC and is better at Pass blocking that run blocking but can still be pushed around by the bigger DL's.
From the games I have watched, Shelton seems more physical and aggressive than Allen.
At least to the "naked eye". I am sure someone could find some "stats" or "graphs" to argue it but it is what I have seen in the games I have watched.
Allen is all the great either any more. I think he was better a few years ago. JMO
#HelmetHornsMatter
“Well, the color is good, I like the metallic blue,” Youngblood recently said while laughing, via NFL Journal. “The horn is terrible. It looks like a ‘C.’ When I first saw it on the logo I honestly thought it was a Charger logo.
“Now when I see it on the helmet, it just isn’t a ram horn. There is no distinct curl like a mature ram horn. I don’t know how the Rams could get that wrong. That is your symbol and it has been for what? Seventy years or more? Longer than I have been alive? It’s just not us, it’s not the Rams.”---Mr. Ram Jack Youngblood
